Nyerere National Park is a national park located in the southern part of Tanzania. It covers an area of 30,893 square kilometers and is one of the largest national parks in Africa. The park is named after Tanzania's founding father, Julius Nyerere. It was previously known as Selous Game Reserve, but was renamed in 2019 to honor Julius Nyerere.
