Kirurumu Tented Lodge
Kirurumu Manyara Lodge is found on an area of 13 acres up on the fringe of the Rift Valley, with breathtaking views of Lake Manyara and Mt. Losimingori. Behind Kirurumu rise the spectacular Ngorongoro Highlands that form a gateway into the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and the Olduvai Gorge. This tented lodge provides top notch service, extremely comfortable accommodation, tasty home-cooked food as well as a relaxed ambiance.
Each of the tented rooms as well as cottages are beautifully furnished with wooden tables, full en-suite bathroom facilities (including flush toilets, showers, hand-basins that are supplied with flowing and the spacious private verandahs have armchairs plus tables. There is Round the clock electricity supply in all the rooms plus plugs for charging your electrical gadgets. There is a spacious open sided dining tent in which meals are served. Their greatly varied menu includes intercontinental as well as local foods prepared by the expert chef and served by their warm and friendly staff. This tent also has a bar that is well stocked with a variety of drinks and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding. The guests’ rooms are each connected to the main tent by stone paths that are beautifully lit up in the night.
We can organize thrilling game viewing trips to Lake Manyara National Park as well as to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Our guests can decide between half-day adventures or full day excursions. In addition, we arrange ethno-botanical walking trips led b our very knowledgeable Maasai guides in this area. Take cultural visit to one of the neighboring local villages to interact with the local people and have insights into the thrilling lifestyle of the native Maasai people.

Location: the lodge is found up on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, just above the stunning Lake Manyara National Park and Mt. Losimingori, approximately a 20 minutes drive from the entrance gate into the park. This lodge is just 2 hours from the touristy city of Arusha in northern Tanzania although the closest airstrip to it; Manyara is only 15 minutes drive away.
Rooms: there are 27 tented rooms, and 2 honeymoon suites together with 2 family cottages, each having private en-suite bathrooms facilities including a shower supplied with flowing hot & cold water.
Dining: Meals are served on individual tables. The delicious food is generally standard and greatly varied, so be prepared for a surprise each time you go to the dining area.
Children: we welcome all Children of whatever age.
Health: sadly this area has several mosquitoes, so we recommend that you carry along a mosquito repellent lotion.
Communication: although there is no Wifi other internet services here are available and the mobile signal is really clear.
