Four Seasons Serengeti

Your safari sanctuary on the Serengeti plains. If luxury, adventure and an incredible safari experience are what you desire, then the Four Seasons Serengeti is the perfect spot for you. Witness the Big Five as they roam free across the plains, or watch herds of wildebeest and zebra congregate. After endless exploration, re-hydrate yourself within the canvassed and open villas, unwind in the spa and soak up the sun by the pool.

A flagship lodge located on the savannah

Head deep into the heart of Serengeti National Park where the Big Five — the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhinoceros roam free among this untamed and ancient landscape. Perched upon a series of elevated platforms and walkways, the Four Seasons lodge sits next to an animal watering hole which allows you to watch families of elephants stop for their morning drink whilst you sip your coffee on your room’s private balcony. After a long day out exploring the plains, head to the spa where you can rejuvenate, restore and re-energise for the next day’s safari adventure. Using indigenous ingredients and the strength of traditions create a brilliant source of the healing power at the spa. Nourish yourself with bespoke rituals and treatments that celebrate Africa. There are many dining experiences on offer at the Four Seasons. You can fuel yourself up before a morning game drive at the breakfast buffet at Kula’s Restaurant. If you are looking for an authentic African feast, head to the Boma Grill where you sit around an open-air firepit where you will be immersed in the culture of the Maasai.

With a variety of rooms and villas to choose from, luxury is never far away. With three different styled rooms and villas, you will even have a choice for a waterhole view. Live in comfort with four-poster beds that are elevated and equipped with mosquito netting, each designed with local artwork and textiles. Never stray far from the Serengeti with open-air sundecks losing no creature comforts as each room has air conditioning, flat-screen TVs and also internet.

Activities at Four Seasons Serengeti

One of the key reasons for heading to the Serengeti is to explore the plains and get the chance to see iconic animals in the wild. Take in the Serengeti landscape from the air during a balloon safari (available at an additional cost). You will wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading out on an hour-long sunrise hot-air balloon flight across the savannah. Settle back down on land and enjoy a delicious champagne breakfast in the bush. Another great way to get up close to the splendours of the Serengeti by immersing yourself on a walking safari. Go on an intimate 90-minute guided walk that will shine a light on the national park’s subtle and unusual characteristics. Maasai guides and national park rangers will help you explore the landscape of the Serengeti as you discover animal tracks, insects and medicinal plants. The Retima Hippo Pool is only a one hour drive from the Lodge and is home to a pod of hippos. You will be set at a safe distance and be able to watch as the Serengeti’s biggest mammals rest, play and flight in the waters of a bend in the river. They will wallow in the mud, splash and create a remarkable show that will be extraordinary to witness.

Head to the Four Seasons Serengeti unique discovery centre which is part museum and part lecture theatre. It offers you an interactive experience where you can learn about the wildlife, history and the people that live on the Serengeti. Set within the Lodge’s main building, a focal point to the centre is the interactive map of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. It highlights the movements of the Great Migration. Within the centre, you can explore by yourself or ask for help from one of the local guides on hand.
