Andbeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge presents the finest intimate luxury you will need. The distantly located Tree Lodge is actually the sole lodge found inside the smaller Lake Manyara National park even though the park is surrounded by several other lodges. This 5 star facility merges impeccably into the immediate green forest offering its guests an exclusive extravagant experience. Sadly, this type of luxury accommodation comes with a really high price tag.
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is owned and managed by CC Africa, whose group of properties includes Northern Tanzania’s finest available accommodations, and its CC Africa’s newest Lodge. Additional facilities belonging to CC Africa around Lake Manyara include the Maji Moto Tented Camp that was somehow destroyed during the last El Nino flood.
Location
Tree Lodge is found in the isolated southern far end of Lake Manyara National park. This isolated location has an advantage of being faraway from the park-gate, meaning that it is very unlikely to find other safari vehicles around during your safari.
Access
We normally recommend 1 or 2 nights at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge in our amazing signature fly-in then drive-back itineraries right after exploring Ngorongoro Crater for a day before proceeding to Tarangire or even Arusha. From the crater-floor viewpoint at the edge of the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, it’s approximately an hour drive to Manyara Park Gate. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is nearly 2 hours drive from Manyara park gate, and then three and a half hours drive to Tarangire as well as Arusha in opposite directions.
Accommodation
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge comprises of 10 wooden tree house-suites that are spaced out in the forest to offer utmost privacy. All the tree house suites feature large windows that invite you to the beauty of the lush forest. The rooms are large enough while the bathrooms are nicely fitted with spacious bathtubs plus an outside shower. The interior Furnishing and decor are up to date and abstract. The tree house suites have their private viewing decks each with a relaxed sitting area and breathtaking views of the forest. You will certainly fall asleep by the jungle noises and this will be one of the many highlights for the guests. The Services here are second to no other since you are provided with a private butler available on call all through your stay to serve breakfast, dinner and even mix martinis for you.

For the safety of the guests, Askaris (who are Masai warriors) accompany you as you walk back to your suite in the night.
Food and Drink
The food offered at Tree Lodge is very outstanding. The Breakfast is really nice and it is normally served as a buffet at the open dining terrace. But, if you prefer, your butler will happily serve you on your verandah or in bed or on your private veranda. For lunch the finest option is to have a private picnic box which you will enjoy by the lakeshore as you watch the large hippos live in action together with the thousands of beautiful flamingos, or instead return to lodge for lunch. At Dinner a more private romantic meal awaits at the comfort of your private veranda or in your room. There are various beers, wines plus cocktails most of which are part of your safari package.
