Nine days safari combining the best aspects of great tailor made safari for a family or an incentive group having range of interest in wildlife and beauty of Kenya and Tanzania with a visit to the famous parks which includes: Masai Mara National reserve, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park and Amboseli. This gives you a chance to visit the Great Rift Valley with its climax at Amboseli, with the great view of Mt. Kilimanjaro from your lodge while at Amboseli.

Day to Day Itinerary


Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara (L,D)

At 09:00 am pick up from the airport and depart for Maasai Mara. Lunch en route. Arrive late in the afternoon with a short game drive till dusk. Some of the famous wild animals include: lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopards, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

Dinner and overnight stay at Olmoran Tented Camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve (B, L, D)

A full day spent viewing the great predators and explore the parks amazingly high concentration of wild animals. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During the stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Isebania border – Serengeti (B, L, D)

Early morning game drive and then back for breakfast. After breakfast leave camp/ Lodge with game viewing en route for your return journey to Serengeti. Upon arrival at the Isebania border  have a stop over on the way, for lunch 12h30: Lunch at a picnic site on the way Access Serengeti from Ikoma gate and embark on a game drive en-route

Day 4: Serengeti National park (Full days) (B,L,D)

These days will be best planned between the clients and their safari guide-either choosing to embark on a full day game drives half day or evening game in the plains of Serengeti 12h30: Lunches at a picnic site/lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park/leisure at the lodge/camp

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Suenos De Luxury Camp

Serengeti National Park is an immense park and with its unsurpassed concentrations of wildlife and its vast endless grasslands offers the finest game viewing anywhere in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth and the annual wildlife migration, largest mass movement of land mammals on planet earth, is perhaps what makes it famous. Over a million wildebeest and zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then go west and north after the long rains in April, May and June.Serengeti, characterized by the endless plains, acacia trees and punctuated by large stone kopjes presents an archetypal picture of a wild and remote Africa and supports an amazingly large number of wildlife. Animals present include lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland, zebras, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, Serengeti’s essential features of climate, flora and fauna have barely changed in the past million years.

 

Day 5:  Serengeti/Optional Olduvai Gorge & Maasai village/Ngorongoro (B,L,D)

Early morning breakfast then depart for Ngorongoro conservancy with packed lunch. Game drive en-route with optional visits to Olduvai Gorge-an important archaeological site for Dr. Leakey’s 12h30: Lunch at a picnic site in the park Afternoon game drive en-route to the lodge either inside/outside the conservancy

Area: 8,300 square kilometers / 5,175 square Miles This area covers the world’s largest unbroken caldera namely Ngorongoro crater and the Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louis Leaky discovered the origin of early man by unearthing jaws of the Zinjanthropus man. This protected area also includes huge expanses of highlands plains and volcanoes, scrub bush, and forests where the indigenous pastoralists – Maasai people are allowed to live within its boundaries.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site and the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera which is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. The crater is 610 meters deep and 260km2. Breathtaking views of scenery and game can be witnessed from both the crater rim and within the crater floor.

It is estimated that over 25,000 larger mammals, mainly Zebra and Wildebeest, exist within the crater itself. Others include Elephant, Warthog, Impala and Buffalo. A Rhino sighting is a rare possibility but Ngorongoro is your best chance in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino. Flamingoes and over 100 species of water birds are found at the soda lake on the crater floor.

Day 6: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National park (B, L, D)

After breakfast, depart with a morning game drive for Lake Manyara with picnic lunch. After Lunch depart for the afternoon tour of Lake Manyara National park. Famed for its tree climbing lions and large number of birds. Afternoon game drive at the park, later exit the park and transfer to the lodge

Dinner and overnight at Fanaka Safari Lodge

Lake Manyara National Park is a beautiful little park and is well known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is home to an amazing variety of birds and animals considering its small size. A short visit to this serene park will greatly diversify your safari experience as the lush green jungle habitat is of stark contrast to the other parks you will visit during your safari.Lake Manyara, the shallow alkaline water mass named after the park, covers two thirds of the park’s total area of 330 Kilometers square.

Day 7: L. Manyara – Namanga Border – Amboseli (B, L, D)

After breakfast, proceed to Arusha for lunch and drive on to Namanga border where our Kenyan guide will meet you and proceed to Amboseli National Park. A brief game drive on the way to the lodge. 
Dinner and overnight stay at ol tukai lodge .

Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest, Giraffes, Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Maasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 8: Amboseli – Nairobi (B, L, D)

Proceed for an early morning game drive before breaking from the Lodge and thereafter depart by road to Nairobi. Lunch will be served en route, on arrival you will be transferred to the Weston Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Weston Hotel.

Day 9: Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

After breakfast on your advise we shall pick you up from your Hotel and transfer you to the airport for your international flight back home. End of our Kenya and Tanzania Safari.
