8 Days 7 Nights Tanzania Safari and Cultural Tour - Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Cultural Visit to Masai Tribe, Hadzabe bushmen and Dagota People
On this 8 days safari, you will experience two of the most well preserved ancient cultures in Africa – the Maasai pastoralists and Hadzabe bushmen. You will also experience a classic Northern Tanzania safari in Tarangire, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti.
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our driver will drive you to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on the time of arrival you will also have time to explore the city and the vibrant Maasai market where you will shop for souvenirs. If you arrive late, do not worry, you will still have time to go shopping on the last day of Safari.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park and start your safari by exploring the open wilderness with the highest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania, the Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is best known for its many gigantic baobab trees and its large herds of elephants. It is home to approximately 2,500 individuals and large herds are regularly viewed. Mammals such as lions, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, buffalos can be spotted here. In dry seasons, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birdlife congregate on the Tarangire River which is a permanent source of water. Tarangire is the only place in Tanzania where the oryx and gerenuk are regularly spotted.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your accommodation in Karatu.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Early morning after breakfast, you will drive straight to the Serengeti National Park passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will reach Serengeti National Park’s gate at around 11:00 am or by midday and you will have a picnic packed lunch box with you at the gate before you check-in. After lunch, proceed with your afternoon game drive until in the late afternoon. You will then drive straight to your accommodation.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your accommodation in Central Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, venture out to the Serengeti’s watering holes, hippo-pools and other sites of interest in a full-day game drive. At midday, partake in a picnic lunch while enjoying the vastness of the Serengeti, with the largest concentration of plain game on earth. In the late evening return to the Lodge for rest, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, begin your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, and then later in the afternoon drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Once at the crater’s rim, get some rest and dinner, overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge where you will spend the night.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your accommodation in Ngorongoro Crater rim.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive down into Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a full day game drive. This is undoubtedly one of the best places to see the rare black rhino in Africa, not to mention the prides of lion and the magnificent black-mane lions. There are lots of colourful flamingos and the variety of water birds. In the crater you are also likely to see leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, many members of the antelope family, and small mammals of all sorts. In the late afternoon we will drive onward to Karatu town where you can settle in for dinner and rest at the lodge.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi Cultural Visit
After breakfast at camp, our guide will drive you to Lake Eyasi. In this region a truly African encounter awaits you; you will meet the Hadzabe bushmen who will kindly show you where they live and how they hunt. You will also pay the Dagota pastoral nomads and herdsmen a visit; the Dagota culture resemble that of the Maasai. Apart from being pastoralists, the Dagota are also blacksmiths; they make knives and arrowheads which they trade with the Hadzabe bushmen. Along the beaten terrain, you will also experience birds of many colors and kinds, especially along Lake Eyasi.
Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park / Masai Tour – Arusha or Airport
After breakfast at your accommodation drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game viewing drive with a picnic lunch. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. You will have lunch at a picnic site and afterwards, go for more game viewing. Later, visit Masai Boma then drive back to Arusha or at the airport to catch your flight to the next destination.
