The 6 Days Wildebeest Mara River Crossing is a Tanzania safari package that takes place during the peak of the Great Migration, when the wildebeest and zebra are crossing the Mara River. This is a time of great excitement and activity, as the animals are vulnerable to predators. You will have the chance to see the migration up close and personal, and to witness the incredible spectacle of the wildebeest crossing the river
After breakfast your Serengeti wildebeest migration safari Start as we take you to Tarangire National Park one of the famous Parks on the northern circuit with a large number of Elephant populations of over 6000. The Park holds a fifth number in size in all of Tanzania’s National Parks, Large herds of Elephants, Giant Baobab trees, and the Tarangire River are the highlighted features of this Park. Tarangire River starting from the Kondoa highlands and crossing at the middle of the park is the only permanent source of water in the entire Park. This river flows early around and becomes refugees point for animals during the dry season.
Animals to be sported are lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, zebra, and many more. For bird watchers, this is the paradise over 400 species have been recorded including the endemic species of Ash Stalling. (Picnic lunch will be served inside the park).
Depart this morning for a game drive in the central part of the Serengeti. This part is famous for the abundance of lions and leopards that can usually be seen quite easily. Game viewing in the central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, jackals, hyenas, hyrax, and many more.
After breakfast go on a game drive in the central part of Serengeti for more sightings of lions, leopards, and cheetah, and at around noon drive to the retima hippo pool for lunch and witness hundreds of hippos in these pools while enjoying your mouthwatering lunch. After proceeding to the north through Lobo where we have incredible sightings of giraffes, elephants, buffalos’ impalas, and the imaginable landscape while the migration tail starts showing up arrive at camp for dinner and overnight.
Rise up early for a morning game drive along the Mara River. It is truly an amazing experience to see all those hoofed mammals in search of water and greener pastures, followed by iconic predators. A journey is full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and if you are lucky the endangered black rhino. After the afternoon game drive, you head back to Camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will depart the camp with your picnic lunch and proceed with your game drive along with the Lobo, Mbuzi mawe, and the central Serengeti for more game viewing. today you will be looking for lions, cheetah leopards, elephants, and giraffes, stop for lunch at the picnic site, and then continue to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge on the rim of the crater.
Rise and shine descend down to the Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. It shelters close to 30.000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, caracal, and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty, in the afternoon drive back to Arusha.
