3 Days Tanzania Safari From Zanzibar - Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara

Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Early this morning you will make your way to the Zanzibar Domestic Airport where you will check-in for your domestic flight Your flight leaves early in the morning from Zanzibar to Arusha.  On arrival at Arusha Domestic Airport, you will be picked up by your private safari guide who will usher you to your private 4×4 safari land cruiser, and start your way to Tarangire National Park. In around 2 hours you will arrive at the park’s gate where you will register at the park’s gate and start on your first safari game drives right away. You will explore the Tarangire plains viewing wildlife especially near the banks of the Tarangire River that attracts many animals that visit the river to drink water. Tarangire is home to large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, grants gazelles, Thompson gazelles, impalas, and many more. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Karatu where you will check-in for dinner and overnight stay at Farm of Dream Lodge Karatu. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast drive up to Ngorongoro highlands, spend a few minutes for registration at the gate before driving up to the Crater viewpoint where you can make a brief stop to get the most breathtaking views of the Crater floor from above, you may take some pictures before descending 600 meters high walls into the Crater floor for a full day game drive.

Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to by many as the Eden of Africa, because of its great scenery and abundance of wildlife. Large mammals and plain animals are making a home in this natural wildlife sanctuary. The lunch box will be taken to the Crater floor. You can expect to spot herds of wildebeest, eland, zebra, hippos, African elephant, gazelles, and the rare black rhino in their natural habitat.

Another big drawcard in this huge caldera is the denser population of predators which include lions, hyena, cheetah, jackals, and the ever-illusive leopard that needs a sharp eye to be spotted. All these animals are bounded by the volcanic walls of 600 meters and can be viewed in a very close range. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is among the main features of the crater. Large flocks of flamingos, many aquatic birds & hippos can usually be seen here.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Kilimanjaro Airport

On this day after breakfast, we will take you to Lake Manyara National Park the ever green park nestling at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley  with overlapping  habitats which supports a large number of animal species include the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions, giraffe, elephant, zebra, buffalo, leopard, hyena and many more.

You will do game drives until mid-day then drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar departing around 16.45 hrs and arriving at Zanzibar by 18.00 hrs. If you are departing from Kilimanjaro on the last day we can also drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Lunch box and Breakfast included.
