Today we show off our fair city with an insightful and enjoyable walk through the city’s historical heart followed by the dramatic ascension by cable car of Table Mountain. (Cableway closed for two-week annual maintenance in late-July to early-August). This is followed by a trip to Robben Island, which departs from the V&A Waterfront. For nearly 400 years, Robben Island was a place of exile and imprisonment for those regarded as outcasts and troublemakers – the most famous being Nelson Mandela who spent 18 years of his life here. The 3½ hour tour includes a return ferry trip across Table Bay, a visit to the Maximum Security Prison, interaction with an ex-political prisoner and a 45-minute guided bus tour of the island. Your return to the V&A Waterfront affords an opportunity for some quality souvenir shopping and fine dining.
This is just our suggested itinerary for the day and it can be customized to your wishes.

Our guide now returns you to Cape Town Airport for your flight to South Africa’s wildlife-rich Lowveld, where you are met by one our local drivers and transferred to the Greater Kruger from where you embark on your first game drive on the way to your lodge in Maseke Game Reserve. This afternoon and over the next two days, you can anticipate quality wildlife viewing within this “Big Five” reserve adjoining Kruger National Park.
With the Olifants River running along its southern border, Maseke Game Reserve is an interesting region to explore thanks to the many rocky outcrops that characterise the terrain. These outcrops are ideal lairs for leopards and great look-out points for lions. While it provides regular sightings of the “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion and leopard – Maseke G.R. is bordered by more developed and better known private reserves, hence there is a relative lack of visitors and often guests will be the only vehicle at a sighting.
Main Destination: Greater Kruger
Meals & Drinks:
Located within a wildlife-rich area of the Maseke Game Reserve and owner-managed by Bruce and Judy Meeser, nDzuti Safari Camp is a traditional safari outfit that sits at the foot of one of Maseke’s renowned koppies (rocky outcrops). Your luxury en-suite safari tent overlooks the camp’s busy waterhole and is erected on a solid base complete with doors and curtains. A shaded patio with comfortable chairs leads into a surprisingly spacious bedroom with a fan, bedside tables and lamps, and a small book shelf or a writer’s desk. An interior door leads to the bathroom with a large walk-in shower, his and hers basins and a separate toilet cubicle. The twin ¾ beds can be made into a king.
Guests are encouraged to feel at home while staying at nDzuti Safari Camp and schedules can be arranged to suit your needs and preferences. Game drives and bush walks are offered – the latter enables guests to experience the smaller intricacies of nature that aren’t always noticeable from a vehicle.
